The Brew Projects team have returned to LEVEL this summer following their Residency Lab project, The Fun Machine in Summer, 2022. The collective have built on their previous project, continuing to create accessible experiences for audiences, including those with disabilities and who experience social isolation. This six month long exhibition celebrates the area’s local biodiversity and local history and has been inspired by the artists’ trips to Derbyshire including their visits to the Nine Ladies Stone Circle and Bakewell House Museum.
The exhibition is full of sensory experiences including artworks that visitors can touch as well as see and hear. The experience blends Brew Project’s background in craft and design with their experimental practice in working with digital technologies. Providing elements of digital artwork that visitors can interact with.

From 2022-2023 Brew Projects has worked with High Street Heritage Action Zone to bring together a series of projects which explored the lower high street of Lincoln’s city centre.
Working with pupils based in local schools in the Sincil Bank area, the team brought history to life and created new ideas for what could exist on Lincoln’s high street. Notable suggestions from students include, ‘A Home for Everyone’, a lego art gallery and a house made of cheese (so no one would ever go hungry).

In 2021 Brew Projects delivered a TedX talk about their practice, it’s inclusive approach and their attempt to demystify the arts. A year later they worked with the TedX Brayford Pool team again, creating an activation space for the event. They collaborated with local creatives and exhibited AR: Lincoln for the second time.

AR: Lincoln was an outdoor exhibition of Augmented Reality (AR) artwork which came to Lincoln’s City Centre from Fri 27 - Tues 31 in August 2021. Visitors to the exhibition could access AR artwork using their own smartphones and other electronic devices inspired by the city itself.
This FREE public exhibition was open to all, using the highly accessible city centre and bringing audio elements to the exhibition to make the artwork accessible to visitors who are blind or visually impaired.
Though the exhibition at its Sincil St location has now closed, Brew Projects wishes to continue their work to make the show as accessible as possible and as such have created an online exhibition version. To access the exhibition please follow the link below.
